GoldWire, GoldWire plus+

The GoldWire is a semi-balanced, shielded mains cable with a twisted multi-conductors geometry, that amounts for phase and neutral to an area of 4.5mmq each.

Notwithstanding the greater external diameter (13mm) in respect to the BlackWire, is still able to keep a very good flexibility despite dimensions.

Together with with the BlackWire there is the shielding employed over the entire cable length and the choice of a

Schuko plug as standard. FAQ topics 7, 8 and 9 explains in detail the why’s and when’s behind both choices. Differently from BlackWire standard, though, an excellent Wattgate is used as the supplied IEC.²

Cabling follows the IEC standard for neutral and phase, this one also marked on the mains plug.

The GoldWire can be advantageously employed for any kind of audio gear with a strong liking for big integrated/power amps (monoblocks, stereo or multichannel), powered sub-woofers or in the professional audio field where the enormous power capability finds its natural place.

The GoldWire is a markedly better performer than the BlackWire leading ahead the same general philosophy (great current supply availability, balance and immunity to radiated/received noise) so to insure a general improvement in all parameters, still at a reasonable cost.

¹The GoldWire is normally available in 1.5 meters standard length, IEC and Schuko terminated as shown in the photos.

Longer cables are available on request, with an additional €40 for each meter or fraction. For cables shorter than the standard there is a fixed €40 euro addition.

In place of the Schuko plug, the US one is available at the additional price of €40.

²Finally, in place of the 10A IEC inlet and still at the additional price of 40€, is available a 20A Wattgate IEC. Note: this IEC looks similar but is not mechanically compatible with the standard IEC inlet present on the back of most electronics.
